Sanders: Trump's dismissal of Russian interference 'makes no sense'

Sanders: Trump's dismissal of Russian interference 'makes no sense'
Rebecca Savransky
The Hill

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Sunday criticized Donald Trump for dismissing a recent CIA assessment that concluded Russia intervened in the U.S. presidential election to help the billionaire win the presidency.

"This is very serious stuff. I think we go forward. But I don't want to go backwards," Sanders said Sunday on CBS's "Face The Nation."
"We've got to take a hard look at the role that the Russians played in this election process. We'll see where the investigation goes. But for Donald Trump to summarily dismiss all of this makes no sense to me at all."

Sanders said on Sunday he is focused on making sure the president-elect fulfills the promises he made during the campaign.

Yep. Once again, Bernie is the adult in the room: "We'll see where the investigation goes." The hysteria on this site demanding we throw out the constitution and do a "re-vote" on the say so of a secret CIA assessment is bonkers. Let's wait for actual proof to come out, and I hate to break this to you, it's time to dig in and prepare to resist President Trump, because I don't think there's any do-overs in elections.

of sitting in the Oval Office (when he is "slumming" at The White House on days he can't avoid it) has embraced the Russians openly since day one.
He is using his typical diversionary tactics and blustery narcissistic arrogance to dismiss any involvement by his Comrade pals.

because he knows it is true.

Sanders isn't going to do shit. He is dealing with an insane person backed by a despot in Putin. I know there will be no do over. Installing Trump is the end of America for awhile though. This nicely worded statement from your hero is worthless. If he called his supporters to the streets for a strike you know "a revolution" that might mean something. Sanders and his "revolution" talk was bullshit. Revolutions involve blood not "investigations". Sanders could be pro-Russian for all we know now?? I believe nothing. All I know is he did jack shit for Hillary which was the one who could have stopped Trump. Didn't even call her after the election. The WOMAN always gets blamed. When it was actual hostile nations and the FBI stopping her. UGH.

Certainly not "hysterical" which is coded word against women-that Trump is going to be installed. I guess "adults' are happy with Trump. Women like Hillary and people that are hysterical aren't "adults." Also someone mentioned that some of the Russian trolls pose as Bernie Bros. Just saying.

Anyone who would want to see the CIA's proof before we suggest tossing out the constitution is a commie.

In fact all the Bernie Bros are secret commies. I heard Sanders is a socialist!

I don't know you. I know Bernie isn't a communist and has done a lot of good. Putin, however is not a communist either. So that's a different kettle of fish. But your wording of "throw out the constitution" who is suggesting that? You think that Trump isn't defiling the constitution with the emoluments clause for example? His endless conflicts of interest? His taxes? How do we allow that man so unvetted to take over our government? Just because I'm hysterical doesn't mean I'm dumb. Also a little annoyed with Greenwald lefties at this point. America is under attack. You seem fine with it.

If you want to raise hell about something, talk about the Stein campaign actually trying to count votes. That's actually about trying to prove something - whether or not the election was altered or stolen in key states.

so interesting you are obsessed with that. It's a fantasy and won't happen. And of course recounts were stopped so that isn't happening either. HOWEVER it's a good fantasy. I understand the appeal. But that worrying makes you sound pro-Trump like we were actually going to have a re-vote.But your quote from Bernie has nothing to do with that anyway.

Everyone knows it but it's the elephant in the room. Fuck. If Republicans in congress/the senate can tweet insane conspiracy bullshit and call for impeachment before a candidate is even elected, I think one of you guys can just come out and say "HE IS COLLUDING WITH THE RUSSIANS FOR FUCKS SAKE!"
