So, Russia has taken over the WH via PEOTUS.

Here's something to think about: It's not temporary. Not for four or eight years.

Why would Russia ever let this country be independent again, save for a war?

I mean, yes, it's pathetic that we allowed Russia to monkey with our elections. It's disgusting that Republicans turned a blind eye do that manipulation. And most of all, it's maddening that any known for an agent is now going to be sitting in the White House.

But we still live in a country with limited government. Our ability to get rid of this guy in 4 years cannot be dismantled by simple acts of the president. We have a fight on our hands, as he is certain to attack American democracy in several ways, but the fight isn't over, and they don't control the United States the way you describe.
