Donald Trump Interviewed Mitt Romney to Torture Him, Roger Stone Says

Donald Trump Interviewed Mitt Romney to ‘Torture’ Him, Roger Stone Says
The long-time informal adviser claims that Trump just wanted to see the former presidential candidate squirm.
Gideon Resnick 12.12.16 3:15 PM ET

Donald Trump’s long-time but informal adviser Roger Stone says the Secretary of State job was dangled in front of Mitt Romney in order to “torture” him for previously opposing the president-elect.

During a Sunday appearance on InfoWars with Alex Jones, a conspiratorial media outlet that has become a mouthpiece of the next president, Stone called Romney a “choker” and said that Trump was simply toying with him.

“Donald Trump was interviewing Mitt Romney for Secretary of State in order to torture him,” Stone claimed on the program. “To toy with him. And given the history, that’s completely understandable. Mitt Romney crossed a line. He didn’t just oppose Trump, which is his democratic right, he called him a phony and a fraud. And a con man. And that’s not the kind of man you want as Secretary of State.”

It was kind of entertaining, in a sad and horrifying way, to watch Mitt try unsuccessfully to sell Trump his soul.

They are cut from the same cloth - if I had said those things about anyone, I would not attend a meeting with them - let alone two - and dinner to boot. A nasty groveler with not one conviction.
Seriously -why did he show up?

it is obvious judging by who he is putting in charge of the EPA. I am not criticizing Al Gore he had make the effort to try and change Trump's mind on climate change. But I think he just did it to humiliate him same as Romney, the guy is lower than pond scum.

Romney is wealthy and doesn't need to be Secretary of State. I wish more of these Republicans would show some spine and refuse to deal with Trump. I don't agree with Romney on most things but I respected him as a person but this was sad and pathetic. I lost a lot of respect for Romney.

But, something about Mittens suggests that he has this idea of honor, honesty, and duty. If there was a chance to serve the country and to play SOS in an open, full of integrity fashion, he felt that he had to at least try.

He knows, as we do, that Trump is a loose cannon, a danger, a nut without any shell, and quite probably mentally deranged. Mittens try to lessen the impact.

taking clear aim at my ideas, sensibilities, and political stances. It is almost uncanny just how bad his choices are. Diametrically opposed to my ideas.

Given how the majority of the country has become more liberal, less religious and quite a bit more fearful of the future under Drumpf

who likes to toy with people. That's the type of man we need as president.

Vile human beings. The lot of them.

Sympathy for Mitt here.
