A Trump Train Wreck Is Inevitable. The Only Question Is How Bad It Will Be.

This presidency will be a national crisis aided by a corrupt and criminal GOP. We may not be able to stop it. Right now it is hard to be optimistic about anything.

If Trump were to go totally berserk in public someone might be able to intervene.

1. Reagan had ful blown Alzhermer's and nobody intervened

beyond propping him up to run for a second term.

As long as he is controlled well enough to do the big things they want (gut Social Security, overturn the ACA, end Medicare, cut taxes for the richest again and again), they will keep him in office.

We can try to prevent him from taking office by pressuring electors in red states. We can pester our Congressmen to look deeply into the Russian hacking.

If he gets in, we're all going to have to hunker down and try to survive him. That's the best we can do.

It's going to stop being fun. There won't be so much time for pep rallies and the work will be too hard. President is not like a CEO--that would be a dictator.

This is a wreck of a train carrying several tanker cars of nitroglycerin, flat beds loaded with nuclear bombs, freight cars full of vials of smallpox and anthrax, and one flatcar with a busty blonde in a bikini for the media to ogle while they overlook the rest of it.
