I did vote rep in our primary just to block Trump
Mr. Xxxxx, you don't know me, but I am a resident of xxxx Al which is a good bit north of you. I was honestly a bit surprised that you and other electors had an open facebook and I hope you won't mind my contact and that you will read my message.
Like many others, I am asking you to go into this upcoming vote with your eyes wide open. I have believed for some time that Trump was an agent of Russia, and I am sick at the thought that he is about to be installed as our President. Everything about this situation tells me Trump is a Russian tool from the Manafort connection.. coming to work for Trump weeks before shutting down his Ukranian offices, the reports that there was a private server located in Trumps campaign office dedicated to communicating with Russia, to the fact that there is now a billboard in Montenegro featuring Trump and Putin together which appears to be a threat in my opinion in a country that just squashed a coup attempt by Russians. Now we know our next SOS will be a man that is closer to Putin than any other American and has been given their countries highest honor. This is just the tip of the iceberg to me. Trump has done so many things that I can not even begin to name them all in a facebook message.
The job of our electors is not to rubber stamp a vote by the people. The job of the electors is protect us from a situation such as this. I have always been taught the electoral college was established in a time when the citizens were not considered educated enough to choose our leader as they could easily be swayed by someone that did not have the best interests of our country at heart. It was said a small group of educated men could better choose a proper leader. You are lucky enough to be one of those educated men. Please ask for a full debriefing on everything the intelligence agencies have learned. I believe that if the electoral college fully investigates the situation, Trump can not be voted for by any patriot. I am not asking you to vote for Clinton. I am asking you to consider the other options that are available to you with the other electors and come up with a solution that is acceptable to everyone. I had originally supported Rand Paul, then Kasich before everyone else was eliminated. There are a number of good men that would make excellent choices including Mitt Romney. Trump is just not the man we need to be in control of our country and I pray that you and all the other electors will consider doing the duty our founding fathers intended you to do, which was not to elect a person under the control of an enemy of our country. My trust is in you to save us from this situation.
