They are portraying a conspiracy inside the government that today looked like it eminated out of the White House.
It's a good program. It's got my interest and won't be back on until March now as today was kind of a season finale.
When you watch a program like this or the other program that's just as good - 'Scandal' - they make you wonder what really goes on behind the scenes.
We're in the midst of what looks like some sort of conspiracy or coup going on - involving the Russians, hackers, Repugs, Trumps people, etc - and we're getting some info trickling out every day that makes the situation seem more dire. Yet you wonder what is going on behind the scenes that somebody knows - and we still don't.
I have sympathy for President Obama - because you have to wonder what he knows; what's going through his mind; and how he might ultimately deal with it.

(9,350 posts)I have been watching and it makes me want to be on the inside in order to see what really happens within our government on a daily basis. I have from a very young age wanted to know what insiders like the President and the intelligence community know about what is happening in the world and in the United States. I have often wondered if we are being told the truth about what is happening.
I think the show is pretty good, but I wish they had made Kiefer Sutherland's character a stronger person. He was a little too weak. I think he needed to stand up for himself and the Constitution more during the season. That being said, I did like the Winter finale and I will try to remember to watch the show when it comes back in March. I wish ABC was bringing it back sooner.

(10,168 posts)I think the same things when watch these shows, and House of Cards. Kevin Spacey has said he modeled his character after Kevin McCarthy of California who is a soulless ball of blind ambition.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus has said that VEEP is actually reality t.v.
