If it doesn't, the vote tomorrow will be very close...IMO.
As I said, just a gut feeling.

(141 posts)I would be amazed if more than 5 trump electors don't vote for him. My prediction is 2 or less trump electors do not vote for him, and Hillary has more defectors than trump.

(7,963 posts)If the gop was serious about getting rid of him, here is their chance. Time to rally the troops. They can get enough to defect from trump. Otherwise, I see impeachment in his future.

Remember, 65% of the registered voters DIDN'T vote for Trump.

(2,297 posts)DENVER -- The Colorado Supreme Court on Friday declined to hear a case from two electors who filed an emergency appeal saying they shouldnt have to vote for Hillary Clinton as state law requires.
The decision means that if Polly Baca and Robert Nemanich fail to take their oath to adhere to their electoral duties, or fail to follow state law and vote for Clinton, both will be removed, replaced and possibly prosecuted, per a ruling from Denver District Court Judge Elizabeth A. Starrs.

(2,072 posts)A ruling by a U.S. Appeals Court in Colorado on Friday in a case filed by Democratic electors has helped pave the way for Republican electors to cast their votes against Donald Trump when the Electoral College meets on Monday. In a footnote appended to its ruling the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals suggested that state officials are constitutionally barred from removing faithless electors those who vote against the winner of their state once voting has begun.

(50,271 posts)You forget that we reside in Sane-istan. The people who vote for the idiot still worship him like the Second Coming and most electors are no better or worse than the voters they represent. Trump will be officially elected, the dim bulbs will cheer, then they'll wonder why their jobs are still in China and the doctor won't see them because they don't have enough cash in their new health savings accounts to cover their treatment. They'll wonder why no one is regulating the coal mine down the road because their drinking water is gone. It's going to be both sad and funny to watch.
