And people ask me what I have against chiropractors...

Ye gawds, one fake giving a bunch a fakes a pep talk.

Wakefield addresses chiropractic group

Forbes has reported that Andrew Wakefield, who lost his medical license for unprofessional conduct related to vaccine research, was a keynote speaker at the International Chiropractors Association's Annual Conference on Chiropractic and Pediatrics in Maui. [Lee BY. Are chiropractors backing the anti-vaccine movement? Forbes, Dec 10, 2016] Noting that Wakefield was unable to provide scientific evidence to support his anti-vaccination claims, the report's author asks whether having him as a speaker is the best way for a professional association and a conference to gain scientific legitimacy. The article is also skeptical about chiropractors in general.

Like in any profession, some are better than others. Chiropractors perform a great service to many injured people, I speak from experience. The judgment of those who brought an anti-vaxxer to speak at their convention is bad, but should not be a reason to write off the whole profession.

permanently looking at the floor and badly pigeon-toed in one foot.
The medical doctor told my folks in effect was what they saw is what the had.

I was taken to a chiropractor for quite a while, and the upshot was that my head became normal and the problem with the foot went away.

If it hadn't been for the big old man I wouldn't be right today. I would have been a cripple probably the rest of my life.
I haven't been to one since.

But that's when they tone down the woo.

When they don't tone down the woo, they're dangerous quacks.

Anecdotes are worthless when it comes to medical science.

And every time, *EVERY* time chiropractic is put to proper scientific testing, it fails.

But..."Standing on my head and singing the theme song from "Facts Of Life" cured my arthritis!"
