(7,770 posts)400 hundred thousand or so in Syria. But hey they can't be expected to "take" it. This is a medium bad day for gun shooting in America. Her policies were part of actually paying for WW2-and all the bad shit they did to millions. Who is responsible for Syria? This guy was Pakistani? Only Christian lives matter. That worked (kinda) during the last world war as well.
That church is actually one I have seen. They left its ruins to remind the people. Oh irony.

This post is loaded to the brim with bullshit. I mean you really hit a lot of bases here..
This doesn't matter because --
- not enough people were killed
- Syria
- guns in America
- Germans deserve it because WW II
- Islamophobia or something
- Christians
- Germans really deserve it PT 2, still because WWII

(29 posts)Just how many causalities does it take, to make it unacceptable?
This is partially why we lost this election.
We have for far to long tried to explain it away and justify the horrific actions of some bad people. It personally rubs me the wrong way when something like this happens, and the first thing that we as Democrats do is pray that the responsible party was not Muslim instead of trying to stop the next attack. It also does not help to scream about Christian radicals, because a good part of the country is Christian and most will immediately think "Jee I have never heard about a decon beheading someone for not passing the tithing plate or skipping Sunday school" and will probably think you are a raving lunatic.
When 99% of the country see's something like this, and then hears the killer yell something about Allah or ISIS and then we come out and try to say that the "intentions can't be known" we just end up looking like idiots.
Seriously man, leave the echo chamber for just a few minutes and step out into the real world. You will find that people are scared, and looking for someone to say that their fears are valid, and that there is a plan to stop the killing/terrorism. (Even if it is a lunatics plan, that makes no sense)
Because when only one side is promising you that your family will be safe, and the other is screaming about "this is not what it looks like" you get a Dumbf as President.

(37,748 posts)We tolerate app. violent 11,000 deaths a year from our own countrymen without backlash, yet are consistently told that to bring it up would cost us elections.
However, as relatively few of the perpetrators are Muslim and wouldn't fit the current narrative, I absolutely understand why it would be ignored.

(722 posts)The man, named as Naved B, a 23-year-old asylum seeker from Pakistan, was arrested after he was seen leaving the scene of the attack. However, police expressed doubts about whether the man they had arrested was indeed the person responsible for the attack.
Michael Behrendt, a reporter with Die Welt, who first reported police doubts that they had the perpetrator, said one main reason the police were fairly certain early on they had not got the right man was the fact that he had no blood traces on him when he was apprehended immediately after the attack, whereas the truck cab was full of blood.
The release of Naved B from custody may mean the driver of the truck is still at large, with fears that police do not know who is responsible for the attack.
