Same here. My mom said my first words were I like Ike. I was way young and believed in the system. My dad was in the army and Ike drove in dad's jeep. Dad was always happy about that.

Every election after that seemed intense but OK...then the Gore bush thing happened.....The right wing has been planning this for many many years and it makes me very sad for our future. My children and their children will never know what the great democratic experiment was all about.

We do need to start at ground level again and fight a great fight. My real hope is there are at least 3 million people over the others that want to do just that.

We need to keep in touch.
