In Appreciation Of Barack Obama

We had a good Eight years thanks to the Obama Administration. Obama was the best President of my lifetime (so far) and he deserves the gratitude of the Nation.

He was a steady Captain of the Ship for two Terms. He helped pull us out of the Great Recession. He was Smart, Moral, Calm, Cool and Collected. Sort of an Anti-Trump.

So thank you to Barack Obama. Hopefully we can fight to assure his Legacy. I think that History will treat him well. I am glad he was our President. Please add your thoughts of gratitude for President Obama.

Michelle Obama was a wonderful First Lady also. The Obamas will be missed. I hope and expect that they will continue to do good work once out of office. God Bless them.

He has made me laugh and smile, often. I have especially enjoyed the way he has celebrated music with awards and hosting performances. There are a lot of videos worth watching online.

Aretha gave an awesome performance when Carol King was honored. He sat there and cried.

It was really nice that you could see him and Michelle enjoying themselves so much during those performances considering the hell this country has put them through.

And then there's this... the irony in Garth Brooks performance of American Pie at the inauguration. I guess he should have saved the rockin' funeral song for Trump's inauguration. The lyrics really fit my mood now.

Sadly, Don McClean has an opening for another verse.

Obama is a really good man and he tried so hard to make things better.

On the up side. Bruce Springsteen is going to have a lot to say.
