They'd fit right in with the "most honest pres around" image Trump is trying to hold to.

Though I've heard there are some venues even they won't play, and Trump's inauguration is almost certainly one.

13. The Eve of Destruction

(the lyrics are oddly relevant again)

The eastern world it is exploding
Violence flarin', bullets loadin'
You're old enough to kill but not for votin'
You don't believe in war but whats that gun you're totin'?
And even the Jordan River has bodies floatin'

But you tell me
Over and over and over again my friend
Ah, you don't believe
We're on the eve of destruction

Don't you understand what I'm tryin' to say
Can't you feel the fears I'm feelin' today?
If the button is pushed, there's no runnin' away
There'll be no one to save with the world in a grave
Take a look around you boy, it's bound to scare you boy

And you tell me
Over and over and over again my friend
Ah, you don't believe
We're on the eve of destruction

Yeah my blood's so mad feels like coagulating
I'm sitting here just contemplatin'
I can't twist the truth it knows no regulation
Handful of senators don't pass legislation
And marches alone can't bring integration
When human respect is disintegratin'
This whole crazy world is just too frustratin'

And you tell me
Over and over and over again my friend
Ah, you don't believe
We're on the eve of destruction

Think of all the hate there is in Red China
Then take a look around to Selma, Alabama
You may leave here for four days in space
But when you return it's the same old place
The pounding of the drums, the pride and disgrace
You can bury your dead but don't leave a trace
Hate your next door neighbor but don't forget to say grace

And tell me
Over and over and over and over again my friend
You don't believe
We're on the eve of destruction
Mmm, no, no, you don't believe
We're on the eve of destruction

I hear that Utter Crap is reuniting after all these years...just in time for their greatest hits compilation album entitled "Sheer Shits: Utter Crap".

Although most of the songs come from their debut album "Bend Over and Crack a Smile", this anniversary double-sided album does feature such hits as "Oh, What a Dump", "Bathroom Bugaloo", and "Hershey Highway to Hell".

Perfect timing for the inauguration. Let me see what i can do to make this happen.

Ted Nugent, but that's obvious

About half of Nashville

I was going to say Prussian Blue, but their lives have turned around: one was diagnosed with cancer, the other with scoliosis; they were given medical marijuana cards and the weed turned them into liberals. Who, incidentally, hate the fact that they were used.

(Which makes me wonder...ya think maybe we could get a pickup truck full of artillery smoke rounds, pack about five pounds of Mexican brick weed into each one, and have the ceremonial battery fire them upwind of the inaugural ceremony?)

Sometimes kids wake up and smell the brainwashing. Happened to a family I know - they weren't too coy about their Southron racist leanings and one of the daughters (my favorite of them all actually) now has a couple beautiful half-black babies. She and one of her aunts escaped the training. Wish more of them could.

It basically happened to me except I never fully bought into white supremacy. But I was raised in a fundie baptist home and we went to a church full of white supremacists. For the better part of my youth every authority figure I had was perfectly fine with the KKK existing.

Luckily, I was able to visit my grandparents every year and their teachings of love outgunned the hate I got at home and private school and church. Left home at 17 and haven't looked back.

I remember first seeing Prussian Blue in a documentary about white power and thought how sad it was they didn't know any better and nobody in a position of authority was doing a goddamned thing about it. I can't say for sure weed turned me into a liberal but I know I never even saw weed until after I left home and experienced the real world. Coincidental at the very least.
