Happy Holidays, GOP
In the spirit of the season, we the American People wish to give you the following gifts:
Empathy for your fellow citizens – the ones whose lives you are planning to destroy by taking away their access to healthcare, and reducing the social security checks that many can’t survive without.
Support for Peace on Earth, instead of support for a man who is already jeopardizing any chance of peace.
Good will towards ALL men, and not just those who share your religious beliefs, your political agenda, and your skin colour.
Compassion for those who are hungry, homeless, and dying due to your policies.
A sense of justice for those who are imprisoned for stealing in order to feed a habit, while you steal elections without hesitation or consequence.
A sense of fairness towards those whose voting privileges have been denied because of the legislation you have put in place to silence anyone who doesn’t agree with you.
True Patriotism, which means putting the well-being of your country above ALL ELSE, including a “political win” that will end in your countrymen losing so much – including their rights.
Loyalty to what your country stands for, as opposed to loyalty to a foreign nation that stands for everything contrary to what America is all about.
We offer all of the above gifts that you have repeatedly refused to accept, and are somehow incapable of appreciating for their obvious worth. You have chosen to reject everything that unites us as a nation, everything that binds us together as a country, everything that enhances the lives of your fellow citizens, in order to advance a political agenda that serves the few while ignoring the many.
But here is one parting gift that you’ll find under the tree, like it or not: We of good conscience and good will towards men will NEVER unite with those of you who seek to destroy the lives of others. We will NEVER stand with racists and bigots. We will NEVER join you in your fight against our fellow countrymen. And we will NEVER give our respect to the buffoon you have elected.
While refusing to accept the gifts we have offered, we hope you received a suit of armour from Santa – because you’re going to need it in the days to come.
So Happy Holidays to all of you on the Republican side of the aisle. Enjoy the spirit of peace and understanding that permeates the season – because it won’t last long. We know who you are and what you are, and we Merry Gentlemen (and women) will never allow ourselves to become what you have shown yourselves to be.
