Trump's older brother, Fred Jr. (Freddy) was poised to take over the Trump business. But he didn't opt for that, partly because father and son had disparate viewpoints. Freddy stepped aside and became an airplane pilot. And his younger brother, Donald, stepped into the void left by the heir apparent. Donald took over and expanded his father's business.

What isn't examined (enough) is that Freddy became an alcoholic and Donald often cites his early death as why he himself doesn't drink. But Freddy drank out of despair of not receiving his father's approval that was instead allocated to Donald. And Donald exploited the family dynamics to make sure Freddy couldn't return to be the favorite son, making him drink more.

Donald's contempt for his brother continued posthumously. Their father, Fred Sr., set up a trust fund that paid for medical expenses of one of Fred Jr.'s sons. When Freddy's heirs complained that Donald used his influence to change the distribution of assets in Fred Sr.'s will, one of the first things Donald did after Sr's death was to cut off the money to the young son of his older brother.

You notice that Donald's younger brother, Robert, has flown under the radar? No statement, no presence at all during and after the campaign? He's scared. Not reverent, but scared.

The only one who may not be afraid of DJT is his older sister, the federal judge.

The family plays out like a Greek tragedy.
