trump's legacy?: Fights break out at malls across United States

Last edited Tue Dec 27, 2016, 10:01 AM - Edit history (1)

(CNN)Disturbances that included gunfire, massive brawls and food-court fights played out at more than a dozen malls across the country in what proved to be a chaotic day after Christmas.

The disturbances, some of which were captured on social media, prevented some shoppers from clearing off clearance racks and returning Christmas gifts as they intended.

The mall incidents, which ranged from minor melees to mass evacuations, occurred nationwide from Colorado to Tennessee, Texas to New Jersey. Here's what happened at six of those malls.

Sorry, spanone, but please amend your title. Nowhere in the linked CNN article does it mention Donald Trump's name. None of the miscreants who started or participated in the mall fights were quoted as indicating that Mr. Trump instigated these riotous acts of violence.

While I don't disagree that Mr. Trump has stoked the underbelly of our society, and I detest his election as much as I suspect you do, your title has no relevance to the article you've linked.

national stage. Do we really want to practice our own version of "thanks Obama" on every unrelated issue ? I don't. There is more than enough legitimate responsibility to hold Trump accountable for without reaching like this IMO.

There was a big melee at one of our local malls two years ago. The stupid local news showed it, so of course the kids did it again this year! I think it has become sort of a Dec. 26 "tradition" with some trouble-makers who fuel the frenzy on social media.

These are a bunch of high school kids, no money, too much spare time, happens every year. If there was no school holiday this week, it simply would not happen to this degree.

I highly doubt they were voters of any type.

Trump voters are happy right now, haven't you noticed? Why would they riot in a mall?
