our only play right now is in our dollars.
If it endorses Twitler, it faces boycott.
This is capitalism, Jack, and we vote each and every day with our dollars.
We don't *just* need to turn off the right wing corporate news that promotes Russian propaganda, we need to let their sponsors know we're turning it off.
We need to contact our elected officials and let them know that they are our airwaves...EVEN the cable outlets. ALL of it belongs to all of us.
And the toes they stepped on yesterday are going to be attached to the foot that goes up their ass tomorrow.

Cable is a whole different deal than "over the air"....many cable Co.'s carry the freak show RT..it's blocked on my TV's by choice....but still carried by my Cable provider.
Unless you mean to actually censor...eliminate programing you don't agree with...a "boycott" may feel good but it's not going to get rid of FOX, or RT, or any other major Cable "news" entity.
Boycotts...when was the last "successful" boycott of National scale? Didn't work with the many attempts against Limbaugh...that pork chop just signed a multi yr, multi million $$ contract extension.
I can't think of one.

(78 posts)Eliminate "channels" we don't like? That's not going to happen....honestly shouldn't.
I'm asking because I don't get what the OP's idea is...censorship, boycotts,...contacting "elected officials"....to what end? That is a serious question...what could we do in the future that we do NOT want done to us NOW?
