Amazon sells out of Rep. John Lewis biography after Trump attacks him

https://thinkprogress.org/amazon-sells-out-of-rep-john-lewis-biography-after-trump-attacks-him-af4739ce4ee4#.3v266o72f

President-elect Donald Trump began Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend by attacking Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) on Twitter, accusing the civil rights icon of being “all talk, talk, talk — no action or results. Sad!”

Trump’s attack on Lewis was met with immediate outrage, as his fellow lawmakers quickly pointed to Lewis’ record as a leader of the civil rights movement and criticized Trump for ignorance of just how much Lewis has done — both in speech and action — in service of progress in America.

As further evidence of the widespread backlash to Trump’s accusations, Amazon is now sold out of Lewis’ biography.

Some on Twitter have been encouraging people to buy Lewis’ book as a gesture of support.

Hands down the best 3 books I have ever read on the civil rights movement. The books are about 1000 pages apiece, but a must read for anyone interested in the history of civil rights in the US.

The 3 books are: "Parting the Waters", "Pillar of Fire" and "At Canaan's Edge".

I'm old enough to have lived through these years, but I didn't know 1/10th of the story. Highly, highly recommended.

Those never "sell out".

(Across That Bridge is available in Kindle format as are his 3 "March" books. The older biography isn't available electronically)
