(31,121 posts)If everyone who had to stay home because they didnt have the money or their boss would fire them for taking time off, especially taking time off for this, could have gone the city would have sunk from the weight.
I will never get over the number of white women who voted for a man who could not have shown more disrespect for all women if he had a Hollywood script writer writing his comments and actions.
No person in America has publicly shown this much disgust for women than he has, and they went out of their way it seems to vote for him.
Maybe that means our society is deeply sick and dysfunctional.

(14,856 posts)very soon after it was reported. I normally avoid politics in public, but that day I chuckled and said to the clerk, "I think Trump finally went too far this time!' She asked what happened, and I explained with a very hushed voice. Her eyes widened as she exclaimed, "No way! That's terrible! Are you sure that's what he said?!" I replied that it was caught on tape.
I didn't say much else, assuming that I helped secure another vote for Hillary as I was departing. Then she said as I walked away, "I'll never support Hillary Clinton, though."

(31,121 posts)we can never get them to figure it out.
Either we get progressive candidates that pass their test, or MORE republicans will be elected.
It is stupid and deadly but it is what it is. Personally I think we are never going to be able to get these people to make rational decisions.

(14,856 posts)to the Hillary-bashing that's been presented by the media for decades now. Well, much of it was simply the media providing coverage of the various Republican accusations/investigations against her and Bill.
I stopped and thought about asking her to explain, but another customer was approaching her.

(2,795 posts)Supporting us here. It must be shocking to people around the world who have grown up with America being a super power, and a place of such great opportunity being lead by a deviant, fascist and his administration of mob like thugs.

(82,849 posts)Republicans have put in a herculean effort over the last ten years to disenfranchise millions of voters and gerrymander districts so they can cling to a bare majority. It's going to take a big effort on our part to undo their mischief, but let's get after it and stay after it. Register people to vote. Educate - it's unconscionable that anyone doesn't realize that Obamacare is the Affordable Care Act. Talk up Democratic programs and accomplishments, even if they didn't benefit you personally. Whackaloon conservatives are pumping out their misinformation and disinformation 24-7; meet them and dispute their nonsense. We're right, they're wrong.

So awesome, thanks for sharing. I cannot believe how emotional I am after looking at those photos. I have been feeling so defeated! Perhaps if we all work together we can stop the craziness before more damage is done. I am feeling so much more hope.
