Is the purpose of the second judge, the one not

nominated, meant to assure Justice Kennedy that Trump will pick someone somewhat decent for a republican in other words a bait and switch for the future to get Kennedy to retire And then choose some Bork like person. Could happen. Just speculating.

That's all he knows. He has no goddamn clue how the government, of which he is in charge, works. It's just another TV show to him. And, this is the first time I recall that any president has ever preempted prime time TV programming to announce a Supreme Court pick. He is not getting enough attention, apparently.
