Did Trump's mother vote illegally in 1940

According to this Snopes link, Mary trump self-identified as a naturalized US citizen on the 1940 census form, but wasn't naturalized until 1942. Aside from questions about her immigration status in coming to America, was she registered to vote in a US election and did she in fact vote in a US election prior to her naturalization in 1942?

Does anyone have access to NY City voter registry for the period in question? Has this question been discussed and resolved anywhere that you know of? I am quite curious.

The character of your response is rather hostile in my opinion, but I'm guessing you don't give a damn about that, either. Thank you for the insight, and for sharing.

about how long ago it was. They'd still be going on about it. They were going on about Obama's mother and calling her a communist.

she was a woman and there are more than a few I'd guess who believe still today that the franchise should not extend to anyone but white, Christian males with property.
