Why worry about Senate republicans going nuclear for this SC nominee?

If the democrats get them mad, they will go nuclear and then it will only take 51 votes for the NEXT SC nominee.

Answer me this: what's to stop the republicans from going nuclear for the second nominee if they don't for this guy?

if they do go nuclear now, what is to stop them from picking the most radical RW nutcase the next time around?

I don't like this pick any more than you do but from the recent coverage it looks like we could do worse.

If they know they are going to only need 51 votes next time around they will pick an extremist.

and replace them with a more radical nominee at any time before a vote? If the "next time" they saw that the slightly less radical nominee was not going to pass and they decided to go nuclear, could they then replace that nominee with a total nutjob?

usually President's don't like to pull nominees.

If we do kill this nominee then they might pick a nutjob and go nuclear for this empty seat.

This isn't good, but we could be worse off.

They have a scorched earth policy. Sadly, we must prepare to feel the heat and realize they are not going to ever walk this back.

Shit's about to get even more surreal by the time March rolls around.
