Where were you during the Bowling Green Massacre? #RememberBGM

We all remember where we were and what we were doing during BGM.

I recall where I was vividly. I was on my honeymoon in the Bahamas with my new bride, Scarlett Johansson. We were having lunch at the pool when the news broke. We abruptly ended our vacation and flew back immediately to the U.S. to help in the relief effort.

After I heard the news, I vowed to send the victims families $1,000,000 each.

It was me, Tom Hanks, and George Clooney. We were on the first leg of a journey to Mars to save Matt Damon.

George Clooney didn't make it. Sad.

We could have learned so much more by having a man on Mars. We could always send him some supplies.

I recall Daddy taking us up upon the highest hill where we could witness the carnage from afar. Oh, the humanity! I can still hear my darling Daddy softly singing that old Everly Brothers song:

The fields down in Bowling Green
Have the softest grass I've ever seen
A man in Kentucky
Sure is lucky
To lie down in Bowling Green

The guide and boat captain was on old friend from elementary school, Walt Middie. He took a gaff and was banging it on the gunwale to make enough noise to signal me. He had learned about the massacre from a plane flying overhead, towing a banner emblazoned with the horrible news.

When I was aboard with the day's bounty, we made a massive pot of Angel Hair with calamari and headed the boat toward Kentucky to deliver it to survivors.

Right in the middle of my 32 fouetté turns, Prince Siegfried chasséed over to me and told me the news. I nearly fell over and only made it through 31 of the fouettés, which is the only reason I'm not the ABT Prima Ballerina today.

Damn that massacre!!

To put it in perspective, I remember exactly where I was the day JFK was assassinated. But Bowling Green went beyond that.

I still have nightmares whenever I see Conway's face.

UPI called to order my husband to Bowling Green to cover the massacre. He made it out safely, but he's never been the same.

I was playing for Hyannis Port Presidents against the Charlestown Chiefs in an alumni game. I was given a major, game misconduct and match penalty after a misunderstanding with two of the Hanson Brothers- I still can't tell them apart.
