There is clearly evident trump normalization happening - listened to NPR show 1A today

Caught just the beginning of the second hour - the international news round up. Three reporters and the host (I do like the show as a format, and it has a crisper pace than when led by Diane Rehm - Joshua Johnson comes across as prepared and really smart).

But - the topic was about the various communiques with foreign governments - Mexico, Iran, Australia. The tone was in general that nothing particularly out of the ordinary - or erroneous/misguided - is happening.

I knew it was inevitable, but it is happening very quickly.

After 16 months of Trump 24/7, you're now noticing normalization? Mika Feb 2017 #1

Agree with you. It happened during the campaign but the level of outrageousness is now on steroids. Amaryllis Feb 2017 #3
Trump is very needy for attention of any kind the reason he will never be normal. gordianot Feb 2017 #4

Of course not - but for the most part there has been an undercurrent - or even overt - shock/disbelief transmitted - eye rolls, the words used. For a show like 1A, the level of normalcy was pretty staggering - even my wife mentioned it to me (and she has paid little attention to any of this - it makes her sick)

Fortunately some media outlets are calling it out. NPR is not one I'd expect to call it out based on past performance.

Schwarzenegger may be right people want to sleep better at night. Trump induces insomnia.
