Interviews with
1,002 adult Americans conducted by telephone by ORC
International on January 31 - February 2 , 2017
. The margin of
sampling error for results based on the total sample is plus or
minus 3 percentage points.

This sample includes 502
interviews among landline respondents and
500 interviews among cell phone respondents

For example, there were far more than 1000 Americans protesting the immigration bans, so if ORC had interviewed them, the numbers would be very different.

The odds are the numbers would only be slightly different ... ORC uses cell phones a little less than 1/2 the time, while ~64% of Americans use cell phones (which would skew the polls).

I am not a statistician/ or a polling expert (I have limited education in both ... but some) and the sample size seems very appropriate ... the question would be the method of contact

And you're right the numbers don't reflect the landline/cell usage difference

On Facebook. They turn on Fox News, see that everything is not only ok, but better than its been for years.

They are happy. Fox News is the problem. If we don't deal with Fox News, we will keep having these kind of problems.

because 47% of people do not watch fox news. it's fake news, reality tv, which is the way trump is conducting his presidency. it's the dumbing down of america. it's a million bad things, but i don't, i mean i can't believe, that almost 1/2 of america thinks this is ok. i just can't.

Then I will sometimes watch Rachel or Lawrence, but not often. I really can't stand to watch much because *his* ugly, mean, smirking, fat, orange assface will eventually show up and I feel sick and have to turn the channel.

President Bush will leave office as one of the most unpopular departing presidents in history, according to a new CBS News/New York Times poll showing Mr. Bush's final approval rating at 22 percent.

It might take a while, but I think tRump's poll numbers will drop into the gutter where they belong, as was the case with GWB, which makes me think real news must eventually filter through the wall of denial and alternative facts. In fact, maybe tRump will falter far sooner than Bush as tRump's followers begin to see how much he trolled them and also by all the missteps and outrageous tweets, etc. Hopefully, tRump doesn't implode the economy, get us into an unnecessary war, etc., in order to tank his poll numbers.

Nothing 'merica likes better than a good ole war. Especially the ones that are for revenge against a real attack on US soil. Because then its all about 'supporting the troops' (to go out and be killed and maimed physically and mentally).

I predict that it won't be long at all until Trump has his very own war so he can be a war president and get his ratings up. Will it be Iran first or will he 'practice' on some smaller middle eastern state first? I also fear another false flag attack here to propel his war aspirations.
