Nixon -> Ford -> Reagan -> Bush I -> Bush II -> Trump -> ???

The trend line is not looking good.

I was telling someone the other day I expect their next candidate to be a reanimated Ted Bundy, the serial killer executed in Florida in the late eighties. Bundy was a Republican, and from what I hear quite charismatic.

Even though he may not have decomposed well, the GOP base, of course, would have no problem voting for a shambling, hissing walking corpse as long as it promises: "Tax cutssh" and "Moar jobzzz for youuu" and "I will bans those nasssty immiragants." Especially if they're fed nonstop fake news and whipped into frenzy because the Democratic candidate ONCE FAILED TO YIELD AT AN INTERSECTION! OH MY GOD! CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS!
