I ask because I looked at his tweets and could not find that one. Maybe he deleted or edited it?

Jack McCain‏ @McCainJack

@SJVenuto @MattMcNeill13 hey if you could please take it down. I'm in a precarious position as a mil officer. Trying not to make it harder

David Corn made a comment and Jack answered.

As best it can, the military tries to stay out of politics and that includes active duty officers, even on their own time. Not always and not completely, but it is part of the ethos and tradition and that's a good thing. The last thing we need in a democracy is a politicized military.

But if you believe, as I do, that we are experiencing a 21st century techno-coup, voicing dissent seems necessary.

It's not about left or right, republican or democrat...anymore.

Peace. In our time. Hopefully.

That makes sense.

Trump isn't my commander-in-chief (I don't have one and I never have), but he is McCain's.

4. So what minimal retraction will the WH give us that will make it OKEEDOKEE again?

When will the McCain's of the world say enough?
I want a definitive denouncement from the GOP and not just of this one statement as if a retraction makes it all OK again.

Otherwise, they are purely party over country, which some of us have known for years.

Trump is profiting from his office and, in any free and just republic, would need to be shown the door.
How sweet would be McCain's revenge? It would also go a long way to atone for setting the crazies loose with his choice of Palin in the first place. He could take out two birds with one stone and reclaim the dignity and honor he once held.

15. How Would He Do That?

The House convenes impeachment hearings. The Senate is only involved if and when a sitting president is impeached by the House and the Senate votes to remove or ignore the impeachment findings.
