Donald Trump couldn’t bear to end the night a loser, as it appeared his beloved Patriots would be, facing a large deficit against the Falcons halfway through Super Bowl LI.

With the Falcons leading 28-3 early in the third quarter after Matt Ryan’s touchdown pass to Tevin Coleman, President Trump reportedly left his own Super Bowl party without seeing the game through to the end — which he probably regretted.

His premature departure meant he missed the Patriots’ improbable comeback, tying the game, 28-28, with a minute left in the fourth quarter and sealing the win on James White’s 2-yard touchdown run in overtime.
