I vividly remember the day we invaded Iraq. I was in the employee lounge with a co-worker, another Democrat, terrified that we were starting WWIII with Chimpy's stupid actions. He and I were discussing our fears while everyone else at work cheered the invasion.

I lived in Virginia at the time in an area filled with military institutions. Everyone knew someone who was either in the military or worked for a military contractor. Most of my friends, neighbors, and co-workers were totally for the invasion. My work buddy and I were horrified.

But I have never thought of our service members as killers. And never will.
