That's why she is going to be confirmed.
She is the second highest contributor to the Republican Party and she bought the seat fair and square.

(10,017 posts)The GOP would never allow Senators Collins and Murkowski to fuck over their cash cow. Destroying Public Education is merely a side benefit to them. It is all about keeping the DeVos $$$$$ train rolling, never about qualifications and little about ideology. There were plenty of qualified candidates to destroy/chip away at/find ways to defund Public Education. DeVos bought the position.

(24,412 posts)Pence is no doubt salivating for a chance to cast a tie-breaking vote in her favor. And what's that say about the quality of the nominee, anyway, that a President should have to depend on a tie-breaking vote in favor of them?

(63,208 posts)If you can't see that DeVos is 100% unqualified to hold the position of Secretary of Education, then you're not qualified to vote for her.
No one is "wavering." The few who claim to be "wavering" have already deciding and are trying to generate vote awareness.

the ones in those places that do care tend to be Democrats.
