CNN & MSNBC have a decision to make, and they have little time left

They need to STOP polluting their share of OUR airwaves with right wing drivel.

It is now more important than ever, to be able to tune in and see some truth and real news.

We are not now (or EVER were) even slightly amused/interested in hearing anything that comes out of the mouths of the right.

They HAVE "their channel", and that's the only channel they need.

It may have seemed "the right thing to do", to "fair & balance" things, but it really wasn't (see Iraq war)..and it may never be again. We all know what rightwingers think and are not interested in seeing them over-talk,interrupt and hog all the time.

Right-wingers are toxic, lying sycophants who will say anything they are told to say, even though they must know they are lying.

The bosses probably think that hedging their bets by showing "both sides" is the way to program, but for the people who are their true base, it's very off-putting, and has driven me to more BBC, and less MSNBC/CNN.

republicans in congress, MSNBC was the first network to report as "breaking news", that the FBI had reopened the email investigation. THAT WAS A LIE. They then proceeded to parade every right wing politician on their screen to propagate that lie for the next hour. Soon CNN and the others joined in the facade.

MSNBC is actually worse than CNN

I read the major Newspapers, PBS, BBC, and don't have to watch these idiots try to legitimize sexism, racism, and xenophobia

Microsoft has had nothing to do with MSNBC for a while now.

From the wiki:

Microsoft divested its stake in the MSNBC channel in 2005, and divested its stake in msnbc.com in July 2012, rebranding the general news site as NBCNews.com and creating a new msnbc.com as the online home of the cable news channel.

It reports and tracks viewers voting on the poll question of the day and it's administered by Microsoft.

What I mean is that we tend to focus on cable news because it is on 24/7 -- but regular people (non-politicos) watch regular network news.

The producers at CNN could only DREAM about getting the kind ratings that Lester Holt gets on NBC Nightly News.

NBC and ABC nightly news shows each get about 8 million viewers each night = 16 million. CNN is lucky to get a million for their evening news. And Fox gets only two million.

If we get back in power in 2018, that should be our first goal. The GOP has been able to get away with fake news and bullshit for too long. If we can deny them the ability to slander us day in and day out, we can stop them for good.

And make no bones about it, any future Democratic front runner will get the same treatment. Because it works. The Big Lie theory has been proven over and over to actually work on the human psyche. They know it, and they use it to its fullest.

I have thought in the past that we should be using their own words against them. That once, I hope, the Democrats eventually get both the Presidency and the House back, someone from the party who can maintain a straight face must go on air and use the right wing's constant cry of their persecution by the dominance of the "liberal media" to say...you know you are right and we will concede and do the right thing and pass a new version of the fairness doctrine to make sure that the right gets to have at least a guaranteed 50% of the time on the air. Of course those in office, and those in the right wing radio media will raise bloody hell, but we have talk over them and reach the idiocracy beneath them that have been convinced that the left is dominating the media.

The news media better pull their heads out of their asses or they will find their ratings doing the same thing. America has decided it doesn't trust Trump - or his cabal of lying sycophants. The M$M needs to decide if they want to lose more market share and the money they can charge for advertising on their shit shows.

BBC will represent both sides. Accurately.

You will still hear the right wing talking points on BBC. But then you can hear it in the attitude of the presenters of the radio shows (Newsday, Newshour, etc) if they ever get to speak with someone representing the point of view espoused by DJT etc. I bet some of the Newsday team are thinking "we reported on crap like this happening frequently in Africa, and now we report on this crap happening in America now?"

CNN could go more international and have more international stories on the US service - makes it easier to say to a talking head that they're out of time on the interview. There's plenty of news in the world.
