We must stand up to this dangerous tyrant, and do it quickly and forcefully.
That includes Democrats, Republicans, Independents, the media, our allies, anyone who sincerely cares about this country. Alarm bells are sounding, flares are in the air, lines have been crossed and accepted traditions and norms are being destroyed.
Donald Trump is a menacing danger to this country and everything we stand for. He's a threat to our troops, our judicial system, our national security, our institutions. He's a threat to our long-held standards, to freedom of the press, to certain religions, to common decency. He regularly uses propaganda, fear tactics and outright lies however he must in order to stroke his own ego or promote his various conspiracy theories.
He promotes racism, demeans women, mocks disabilities, encourages advice from white nationalists, knows nothing of history, science....or even civility. As I write, he and his dangerous team are busy finding ways to destroy almost every arm of government, from the EPA to HUD, and beyond.
Republicans have put their party before their country with disastrous results. We must shame them into speaking up and do the same with any Trump-supporting Democrats. Let's encourage and support the non-violent resistance movement and donate anywhere a few bucks can help. Keep the pressure on, the signs visible, the voices heard. Action can replace fear and love can replace hate.
