The moment I knew Mr. Obama was MY president.

For those who don't know me, I'm a musician. A rocker and a bluesman. To have a president who knows the lyrics to Muddy Waters? The music of the down trodden and oppressed. The 0:37 mark. Makes me weep for what is no more.

Really pisses me off that the whiner-in-chief kept using Stones tunes at his rallies. Their music means something to me, and it ain't what that fucker's selling.

On edit: Give it up for Gary Clark Jr.!

Literally brings tears to my eyes. Shit man, I'm wetting up just typing this reply. He was a man who came from where I'm from. You know middle class, just trying to make ends meet. A man who not only understood, but lived it. If you know Muddy Waters lyrics, it's because Muddy spoke of the struggles the non wealthy go through. Period (if I can quote Liar Spice). We elected a great man, and then didn't have his back.....

Thanks for the turn on! Don't know how I missed this guy. My blues collection has the big three, of course. The Wolf, Muddy, & Hooker. But it goes deeper. Mississippi John Hurt, Elmore, Buddy, Lightnin Slim, Jimmy Reed, Memphis Slim, Big Joe Turner, Big Joe Williams, and of course Leadbelly. Somehow I missed Skip James. Just recently discovered Sister Rosetta Tharpe....
