Kellyanne Conway abruptly ends Capitol Hill outreach when GOP staffer asks about SNL

RawStory

Two of President Donald Trump’s top advisors went to Capitol Hill in hopes of reassuring uneasy Republican lawmakers about their role in the government — but the visits reportedly didn’t go so well.

Kellyanne Conway, one of Trump’s senior advisors, and Boris Epshteyn, who’s in charge of the surrogate team, met Monday morning with about 100 communications staffers for GOP senators, reported Politico.

Conway abruptly ended another meeting, where she dismissed the concerns of voters about DeVos, after a congressional staffer asked her about a “Saturday Night Live” sketch ridiculing White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

The staffer asked Conway if she’d laughed at the sketch, the website reported, but a source said her face “turned to stone.”

A senior White House official told Politico that Conway did not comment on the SNL sketch and insisted that her face did not turn to stone.

“They definitely did not find it funny,” the source said. “And then they walked out.”

I can't even imagine what is coming from the white house to that network and show. I bet there are threats of lawsuits and maybe even some anonymous threats of injury - physical and professional coming from the Mafia family that has taken over 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

If Mango Musolini isn't happy, ain't nobody happy.

To wit:
Trump sketches drive SNL ratings to 22 year high

If you’re wondering why President Donald Trump hasn’t tweeted about “Saturday Night Live’s” terrible ratings, here’s one likely theory: The NBC sketch-comedy series is having its most-viewed season in 22 years.

The most recent “SNL,” in which Melissa McCarthy lampooned White House press secretary Sean Spicer, nabbed a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49, according to TVLine’s sister site, Variety. As such, the late-night laugher ranked behind only CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” as the highest rated program in the demo.

These numbers are in line with “SNL’s” overall Season 42 viewership — its best since Season 20 — which is up 22 percent in total viewers over last year (10.6 million vs. 8.7 million).

I think this is even more important to them than doing actual work for the country. (but, considering the things they want to do, maybe it is better for them to stick to the superficial!)
