with a hat tip to paul newman, here's a way for senator warren to apologize regarding rule 19...
"i would like to apologize for my earlier comments, which i am told may have run afoul of senate rule 19, regarding impugning the reputation of a fellow senator. i note in particular that i did read the text a letter from the widow of a great civil rights martyr, and i apologize.
- for the record, i would like to note that i did *not* refer to senator sessions as a full-on bigot.
- nor did i at any point suggest that there was any hard evidence that he was personally involved in any lynchings.
- i would also like to clarify that i made no mention of any record of him ever being a member of the ku klux klan.
but i did read the text of a letter who would no doubt be an expert at recognizing a vote suppressor, and for *that*, i apologize.
