Come now, this is a lucrative revenue stream for "law enforcement" agencies!
"Rights"?? The only people who have any "rights" are those who are better armed and more capable of defending themselves than those others who would take their shit.

Which was an instruction from John Ashcroft to all United States Attorneys that in federal criminal cases they were to always file every possible charge and in every case (other than informants) to seek the maximum sentence.
