Mitch McConnell played right into Democrats hands

Mitch McConnell only made Elizabeth Warren stronger.Warren was formally silenced last night during the Democrats’ 24-hour anti–Jeff Sessions speakathon, in one of the more absurd displays of congressional partisanship in recent memory. The Massachusetts senator was reading a letter denouncing Sessions that had been written by Martin Luther King Jr.’s widow Coretta Scott King in 1986, when McConnell, the majority leader, objected. “The senator has impugned the motives and conduct of our colleague from Alabama, as warned by the chair,” McConnell said, referring to the portion of the letter that accused Sessions of using “the awesome power of his office to chill the pre-exercise of the vote by black citizens.” (That said, it wasn’t until Warren defended black voting rights that the gavel came down.) The Senate then voted along partisan lines to gag Warren.

While I'll hope that the court of opinion can lean our way, aren't we likely still headed for another party-line confirmation?

There's no claiming "I didn't know these people were such bad choices" after the democrats fought so hard against them.

So Mitch McConnell is like a hero to them this morning. They are applauding and patting him on the back.

She yells back at them and we love that. Nobody would be listless after watching her Debate Donald. She will give him the meltdown that Hillary was to kind to make him have onstage. What can he say? 'Shut up, Pocahantas!'? That will not work.

12. Yep, and this caused more people to read the speech than would have ever heard her read it.

But doesn't get that he did. He thinks, and others of his ilk think he's put her in the crosshairs of a loss and that she will never be able to run for Prez now.

By the way, Spicer said that if Mrs. King were alive today he hoped she would get to know and support Sessions.
