Why Trump needs a terrorist attack.

Trump needs enemies to frighten Americans. The more his claims to governing fall apart the more he needs to turn attention to "enemies".

Now he has invited ISIS to attack the US, because he can blame the attack on the judiciary. ISIS will be glad to take up his invitation because they will be happy to help Trump who has boosted their recruitment with his Muslim ban and his botched raid on Yemen.

The more he fails at governing, the more dangerous he will be.

He needs some evidence that Obama made us weak and vulnerable, and that requires a terrorist attack within the first six months. But it's going to be difficult because his staff is so incompetent.

...and should note that some members of the PNAC have "evolved" , however some of the same nefarious players are still around and exerting their influence, though quieter this time, less of a public profile.

I mean, come on, who needs: Elliott Abrams, Gary Bauer, William J. Bennett, John Ellis "Jeb" Bush, Dick Cheney*, Eliot A. Cohen, Donald Kagan, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, J. Danforth Quayle, Donald Rumsfeld*, Paul Wolfowitz and others...

...when you have Steve Bannon.

"IM SO GOOD AT THIS, SO GOOD, MAYBE I SHOULD BE THE ENTIRE CIA AND FBI!" And at that point, the screws will be tightened and freedoms will be seriously restricted.

At times it seems like a race against the clock: get rid of Trump before the inevitable terrorist episode (that he's all but directly requested) occurs. Then we'll never be rid of that loudmouth psycho.

That's exactly how I expect it to play out, and his base will be energized by it. If there is a terrorist attack by radicalized Islamists on U.S. soil, expect innocent Muslims all over the country to be targeted by rednecks seeking revenge.

We need to keep publicizing how he has increased the animus against the US in the Muslim world.

Let us not forget that he isn't acting alone. And not turn our attention away from the rest of the "gang".

IF there is a terrorist attack on the US, more than half of the country isn't going to believe whatever Trump says about it.
He will never be able to rally the people behind him and even the news shows will be skeptical. All he will be able to do is tweet about what a genius he is in predicting it. Then get his puppet Congress to pass laws penalizing the people. But, I guess that is the intent anyway.
