Pennsylvania senator to Trump: Come after me, you 's***-gibbon'FEBRUARY 08, 2017 BY DANIEL CRAIG
PhillyVoice Staff
A Pennsylvania lawmaker had strong words for Donald Trump after the president reportedly joked he would "destroy" a Texas lawmaker's career.
Leach, who has pushed for civil asset forfeiture reform in Pennsylvania, invited Trump to come after him as well.
"Hey! I oppose civil asset forfeiture too," Leach wrote on Facebook and Twitter. "Why don't you come after me you fascist, loofa-faced s***-gibbon!!"

(135,425 posts)Trump has never worked a real day in his life.
"Making deals" and cheating people isn't work. Thus, he doesn't "earn." Money (he might grift that, but not earn it), or respect.
He's one hideous person....

(9,426 posts)He looks like a total arse when he holds up those orders after signing them. Is he trying to dispel rumors that he can not write? We know he does not read, or can not read. President Bannon really needs to put a stop to that stupid act of his.

Toomey could never call Drumpf "s***-gibbon" because his own nose is covered with Drumpf's!
GAWD, I hate that 2-faced Koch-sucker.
(well, at first the "hate" was meant for Toomey, but I guess I'll share it for Drumpf too! )

(1,074 posts)I really don't think he was joking! I really think he forgot for a second that he wasn't in one of his closed-door business meetings. I really think he forgot that he was speaking as President of The United States, and forgot that he was speaking where the whole country could hear him! Just watch it again, and watch how he looks and speaks as he says those words. And, look at his reaction when everyone laughs. He doesn't laugh right away...he then realizes that everyone thinks he's joking, and he kind of breaks out into a tiny smile. We all know he is a bully!!!

(2,541 posts)However he should have left out the colorful metaphors. As good as it feels to do that it adds no value to the issue and plays right into the republicans hand.
It only weakens the message and gives republicans the opportunity to use it against him (as they have done time and again to Dems) by painting him as immature and demanding an apology...which in a few days he will most likely end up doing. Hopefully not but will probably be left with no choice but to acquiesce too.

(7,309 posts)The colorful language is perfectly apt. It doesn't diminish his message at all.
The time for "being above the fray" is over. It hasn't worked so far. The reactionaries get away with their bullshit all the time, in fact, they gained majority of all branches of government, even while incompetent, by being fucking assholes.
The Left needs to give them a taste of their own medicine, and make it clear, and in no uncertain terms. Yell it from the roof tops, if they have to, but fucking express their opposition as much as they can.
This country is in crisis mode, and we need to start acting like it, not trying to mince words and hope nobody's feelings get hurt. Those days are over.

(9,760 posts)I could not be more opposed the Pissolini if I tried. However, I'm going to have to agree with you.
I admit, my first reaction was to cheer for Leach. I balk at using the pResident's name and cannot even think of nasty enough names to call him. I always get a kick out of the epithets DUers come up with for him. But, one of the things I despise most about him is his immature, undignified, vulgar, brutish behavior.
I just don't think acting that way is appropriate for any elected official when speaking in an official capacity. And for the entire time anyone's president of the USA, any public statement falls into that category. Similarly for the others, but higher standards for higher office in that regard.
I want everyone who can to fight like hell with everything they've got, but without giving the other side ammunition when you can avoid it. And without helping our political arena turn into the WWF.
I really hesitated to post this, but surely I don't have to fear expressing dissent among fellow Drumpf haters.

(16,230 posts)He's my state senator and I have been following him for years. He's funny but he's also very smart and very politically astute. He's also not afraid to speak out against anyone he disagrees with, regardless of how powerful they are.
People are now talking about him here and elsewhere, which is exactly what he wants. With everything going on, getting this kind of attention requires doing something outrageous, and right now we need people like him getting attention and being heard.
I'm not sure what his endgame is but i have little doubt that he is deliberately baiting Trump. It will be interesting to see if and how Trump responds.

I remember the old King of Prussia Inn (mentioned in the Wiki article) stranded on the median until they moved it. For years I didn't know what it was and wondered why it wasn't torn down. It's a good thing it wasn't.

Anyhow, here's a link to a marvelous article from New Yorker from 2013 - it IS a serious problem that I'm sure will only get worse under this thieving administration and its Attorney General!
