The group is calling itself "Main Street Patriots" and planning what it's calling "Spirit of America" rallies across the country.
Breitbart is claiming this is grassroots activism, but since they admit their "exclusive" is because they got the press release before it was made public, it's pretty clear this is Bannon/Breitbart agitprop.
Not sure why they've chosen those particular dates, Monday and Saturday of the same week.
_______
Editing because I think I just figured out the significance of one of those dates.
March 4 is the anniversary of Andrew Jackson's inauguration. Well, both of them -- March 4, 1829 and March 4, 1833. And of course Bannon and others love comparing Trump to Jackson.
The significance of the February 27 date is still unclear.
Though, given Bannon/Breitbart involvement in this, and all the recent stories about Bannon apparently wanting some sort of holy war between Christianity and Islam, I couldn't help noticing this, when I checked Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edict_of_Thessalonica
That was the February 27, 380 edict that required all subjects of the Roman Empire to become Christians.
And Bannon's fascinated by the Roman Empire, according to stories about him.
Editing again to add something I just discovered about Bannon linking current dates with ones from history...
Link to a Buzzfeed article with a long intervew Bannon did in 2014

with this in Bannon's earliest remarks:
Its ironic, I think, that were talking today at exactly, tomorrow, 100 years ago, at the exact moment were talking, the assassination took place in Sarajevo of Archduke Franz Ferdinand that led to the end of the Victorian era and the beginning of the bloodiest century in mankinds history. Just to put it in perspective, with the assassination that took place 100 years ago tomorrow in Sarajevo, the world was at total peace. There was trade, there was globalization, there was technological transfer, the High Church of England and the Catholic Church and the Christian faith was predominant throughout Europe of practicing Christians. Seven weeks later, I think there were 5 million men in uniform and within 30 days there were over a million casualties.

(58,648 posts)Obviously, the size and energy of recent protests have them a bit shaken. They are trying to resurrect the TEA Party in opposition.
Having announced these in advance, I would frankly expect more counter-protestors than protestors.
Pussy hats look like they'd be quite warm in winter weather.

(58,648 posts)They probably like this, though I'm sure they don't really know about it:
1560 The Treaty of Berwick, which would expel the French from Scotland, is signed by England and the Lords of the Congregation of Scotland.
Probably not this date:
1921 The International Working Union of Socialist Parties is founded in Vienna.
or this:
1971 Doctors in the first Dutch abortion clinic (the Mildredhuis in Arnhem) start performing aborti provocati.
Maybe this date:
1922 A challenge to the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, allowing women the right to vote, is rebuffed by the Supreme Court of the United States in Leser v. Garnett.

(48,975 posts)dates, when I'd been wondering about any political/social events scheduled for those dates this year.
I did some googling and found some interesting info, which I've added to the OP. I like what you found, too.

I doubt that many people in politics would be likely to know the date of the Edict of Thessalonica, or would think about it at all, but Bannon is likely to be among them. His comments suggest he'd love to see some new version of the Roman Empire with Christianity the official religion.

1861 The first national flag of the Confederate States of America (the "Stars and Bars" is adopted.
And this:
1865 The third and final national flag of the Confederate States of America is adopted by the Confederate Congress.
I'm sure they hate this:
1913 The United States Department of Labor is formed.
