Once again, Donald Trump insulted the very people that he is supposed to be working for. Earlier today, Trump topped off his disastrous third week in the White House by attacking everyone who opposed his completely inhumane, disastrous Muslim ban.


At a law enforcement conference in Washington, Trump whined and complained that it was a “sad day” because he was facing resistance to his terrifying desire to ban certain groups from coming into the United States. Claiming that the legislation giving him the authority to do so couldn’t have been more straightforward, Trump began his temper tantrum by reading the Immigration and Nationality Act to everyone in the room to make sure every person knew that the POTUS has the authority to prevent people from coming into the country. Trump defended his disgusting executive order by saying this:


It’s sad, I think it’s a sad day. I think our security is at risk today. And it will be at risk until such time as we are entitled and get what we are entitled to as citizens of this country. It was done for the security of our nation. The security of our citizens. So that people come in who aren’t going to do us harm. And that’s why it was done. And it couldn’t have been written any more precisely. It’s not like ‘oh gee, we wish it were written better.’ It’s written beautifully.”


Trump has been throwing this fit for a week now, ever since his travel ban was temporarily blocked by a federal judge. Of course, no Trump meltdown is complete without some insults, so he decided to mock the intelligence of every American resisting his racist policies. Claiming that even a “bad student in high school” could understand the terms in his executive order, Trump bragged about how great his ban was:

This is a trend with Trump now. He’s issued so many anti-American statements since beginning his role in the White House that it’s becoming clear that he has no intention of working for the American people. Trump works for white supremacist Steve Bannon and the spineless Republican Party now, and he doesn’t care what the majority of Americans do or don’t want – and he will bully and taunt them if they don’t fall in line.
