Must Stop GOPPERS From Referring To Social Security/Medicare As Entitlements.

We must insist they use the term "earned benefits". These benefits were paid for in advance and they want to steal that money for the wall. We need to rage at them when they use that dishonest term entitlements. We God damned are entitled to what we paid for.

We have to be ready to be even disrespectful if necessary. I keep hearing you HAVE to be nice when they are lying or spitting in your face.

It plays right to GOP America's suspicion that anything not gained by business were earned directly from wages is some sort of theft. The very word entitlement sets people's attack mechanisms off, as they think that no one is entitled to anything, especially life, liberty, dignity, and pursuit of happiness. The only people who are supposedly entitled to anything or business types, who already given a sort of virtue, regardless of how much stealing, cheating, damage done they do. Look at how many people fought trumps business was a substitute for political experience, even though his business record was quite awful, as the Taj Mahal Casino could show.

If we want to win this, we need to call Social Security and Medicare for what they are: earned benefits, earned by at least making an honest attempt to work and contribute to society. Half the idiots that want to get rid of Social Security and Medicare have no idea about the damage that would be done if you make a bunch of people not able to participate in the economy or get their healthcare. The way I slowly but surely converting one of my relatives Republican to a Democrat was that I point out he worked in the drugstore. What would happen to all those drugstores, if people could not go in and by their medicine, to say nothing of the fact that every drugstore makes its money on the knickknacks they sell while you wait for your prescription. The fact that we keep retired and disabled people involved in the economy makes for certain level of overall security, ensuring that so many widgets are sold every day. You think that if we give the rich more of the economy that they are going to spend it in America, please, tax attorneys are already working on ways to go ahead and stash away the money they hold Trump will give them into whatever tax asylum will open up, yes even if they lowered the corporate tax.

You paid for it, therefore you're entitled to it. A benign term that the Repugs somehow turned into "welfare".

They'd used to drum up support by quoting big scary numbers about how much of the federal budget went to entitlements... and then talk about welfare as if it was the only thing they had been talking about. The big scary numbers they'd been quoting had naturally included social security and medicare, which were by far lion's share, which the audiences generally supported, but it didn't take much spin to get the believing that it was all handouts to the imaginary vast army of deadbeats and layabouts that haunts the minds of conservative voters.

The conservative spin-meisters, on the other hand, consider SocSec and Medicare "handouts" too, and were working their way through the list of their targets, easiest-to-kill first.
