It's been said that he's a poor person's idea of what a rich person looks like. But the faux-Baroque whorehouse look is probably Trump's idea of what a king's palace looks like, although Louis XIV was never that tacky. The so-called old money people Trump has always sought to impress would never decorate that way; they prefer understated but high-quality stuff. But for some reason Trump thinks a place that looks like Versailles as redecorated by Saddam Hussein's pimp is actually classy, again proving that money can't buy taste or class.
