After ObamaCare - Patient-Centered, Market-Based Health Care Heritage Foundation

1). Obamacare moves American health care in the wrong direction. It undermines the doctor–patient relationship, centralizes health care decisions, and increases costs.

2). Obamacare should be stopped and fully repealed.

3). Congress and the states should pursue patient-centered, market-based reforms that get health care reform back on track.

where you can get a "basic" plan, which just barely meets some low, low standard, with very high deductibles, limits, caps, etc. Then if you want to buy a cancer "rider", or a heart "rider", or diabetes "rider", etc., etc., each has their own set of deductibles, limits, caps, and so on.

In other words, "boutique" insurance based upon you gambling that most dire illnesses never happen to you.

The whole, stupid "free market" plan for fleecing the young and stiffing the elderly.

Patient-Centered - Means that if the patient can't pay, he or she doesn't get any care.
Market-Based - Healthcare that costs whatever the market will bear. The more the better.
Health Care Reform - Let poor people who get sick either get well or die on their own.
Doctor-Patient Relationship - First question? How much money do you have. None? This relationship is OVAH!
Free Market - All heath care providers are free to charge as much as they can get away with.

Health care is not subject to the same market forces as, say, cars. You cannot shop around for health care looking for the best deal.
