What I'd like to know is who are these groups and who bankrolls them?
Political ads are back: Group spending $1.3M against Wis. Democrats
WASHINGTON (Gray DC Bureau) Members of Congress are settling into their offices, so you thought youd be getting a break from those campaign ads? Think again. Even with more than 600 days until the mid-term elections, Republican groups are already targeting Democrats for 2018.
Ron Kind was uncontested in his 2016 re-election campaign and 99.9% of the vote was his. But just as a new session of Congress begins, the La Crosse Democrat finds himself facing down a new opponent.
TV ad: Ron Kind voted for Obamacare, and Wisconsin families are paying the price.
Rep. Kind is the target of a $1.3 million ad campaign targeting eight Congressional Democrats, all in districts carried by Donald Trump last November.
I think were in a perpetual election cycle, Kind sighed. Theres no reprieve, no catch your breath any more.
The ad focuses solely on the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, but some see the ads as a distraction from Republicans slow-moving effort on a replacement.
Theyre flailing right now trying to find a viable alternative, and theyre realizing how complicated this is. Theyve had 66 bills to repeal ACA with no Plan B, Kind said.

(3,975 posts)Walker's besties the Kochs. Kind is a DINO, he and I had 4 clashes in townhalls RE: guns. He had to be led by his teeth after all these years to even admit last fall Climate Change is a thing. He is also a big TPP guy. And a big deficit guy. Look at his voting record. We can do better than him. Of course he knows it is in his best interests to look real DEM now. He is a pretty boy who has gotten by on his looks all these years.

(2,198 posts)was demonstrated at the Women's March. Not only that, I am seeing pro-Trump ads about all his Exec Orders and his (fruitless so far) actions. These ads are like one would see during a campaign. The RW is relentless and they have more money than we do. We must be equally relentless and visible. Our visibility is more impressive because it is in numbers of real people; theirs is TV and radio ads. We need to put more into radio and TV ads too but we can get the free coverage by showing up in numbers as we have been doing for the since the inauguration.
