I don't know if any will agree but one thing I find heartening is seeing conservatives against Trump

Certainly many who voted for the Orange One have dug in their heels and doubled down on their support. Ostridge with its head in the sand syndrome.

However, I have seen more and more public outcry from more moderate conservative figures. Bloggers, pundits etc. People who most of us on the left would have labeled small c Conservatives or small r Republicans. I don't doubt that among those protesting at the republican town halls recently were former Trump voters who have had a change of heart.

I'm not saying I suddenly agree with what all of these people stand for. I'm still as progressive as I always have been. But IMHO if we are going to turn the tide and survive this we need to start building bridges and brining the more sane and level headed conservatives into the fold.

I don't know about others. But I have been heartened to read some of the push back from those I would not normally see eye to eye with.

Unfortunately, none are elected officials, perhaps with the exception of McCain and Graham.

Having said that, I follow many I could not stomach a decade ago. I have found that
despite our disagreements, we have common cause of shared values for our republic.
It is so essential that we now put aside our differences and divisions to resist racism
fascism and authoritarianism
