GOP reps response to these protests is so egregious. And it is so unAmerican. Such response if fighting words in many places.

(25,852 posts)(and I suppose African Americans also) have put up with forever: being patronized, being assumed to be less than intelligent. Sometimes it's a wonder the murder rate isn't far higher than it already is.

I just hope the people in his district remember this one really, really well 2 years from now.

(158 posts)Constituents at a Florida town hall that Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-Fla.) hosted erupted when another Republican official made the long-debunked claim that Americans are subject to so-called death panels under the Affordable Care Act.
Bill Akins, the secretary of the Republican Party of Pasco County, made the claim during the town hall on Saturday.
