(17,003 posts)Apparently, it is creating problems at two airports. Guess his friends with their private planes don't appreciate Twitler jack up their plans. Of course, Twitler jacking up our health insurance, education system, and environment is not a problem. He is such a little weasel.

(2,857 posts)Just got a notification about it. Each congressional district in Alabama is setting up Indivisible groups to help get out the vote.
If we wait for the state level of the party to do something it will not happen

(2,857 posts)The people that went said it was a "shit show". Strict 3 hour time limit with the first 2 hours taken by reading last years minutes and congratulating the Alabama dems on what a great job they have done. Following that according to my sources, the state President informed those there that the reason we are losing is because we have too many strange people as members and that we need more well dressed church folks.
I believe the only way to get anything done in this state is grass roots. The state level is doing nothing to help us from the sound of it.

(2,037 posts)As a U.S. Senator he can get his non-church lady sanctioned jollies much more discreetly than that now.

(4,164 posts)We have a missing Senator AND a missing Representative.
Steve Daines and Ryan Zinke where are you guys?

(81,238 posts)It IS a good idea! EVERYBODY in a red district should do this if your rep is too chicken or too imperious and arrogant to think that he/she doesn't have to bother listening to the folks back home.
And if it's because they're too chicken to face their constituents - what does THAT tell you? Maybe, just maybe, GOP voters in their district are in the minority? Maybe, just maybe, if that's true, some or many of THEM can be turned? Maybe, just maybe, if that's true, some of those destructive policies that many assumed they wouldn't have to worry about because there was no way trump could win - maybe, just maybe, THEY are starting to wake up?
We could get defections from their side to our side from this. It's one thing if you're pre-programmed to assume, automatically, that it's some lazy moocher over there somewhere who's stealing our stuff, sucking up our tax dollars, mooching off the system. But when you suddenly realize that it's YOU whose health insurance is on the ropes, whose safety net supports are being torn away from you, whose Social Security and Medicare are in danger of being "voucherized" or weakened, compromised, and shredded in other ways, THEN it's possible you might actually wake up about what is going on - and threatening to be done - to YOU.

(39 posts)There is a similar poster making its way around Idaho. The posters here are asking for promised town hall meetings. The concerns are over health care, social security, and medicare proposed cuts. The posters also want explanations for some of the cabinet votes.
