He picked the guy who has inside knowledge of Russia's internal authoritarian structure, who's been a Russian asset for years. He wanted Flynn to cut corners. Flynn dutifully and gleefully obeyed.

I posted this earlier: It's treasonous that Trumpy knew about Flynn's coalition with people inside Russian government. It's WORSE if he didn't.
