This really is a new Civil War.

I was reading the comments from somewhere this morning. I know that we are up against the whole right wing conservative thing going on in Congress. But the comments that were the most disturbing were from the White Nationalists. One I saw was all in caps screaming that they were going to start a civil war and millions of "libs" were going to be killed.

That element doesn't care about politics or the constitution of anything else. What they want is pure and simple revenge. They want revenge on the "elite" and the "libs."

They say they were lied to for 8 years - and discriminated against. They don't seem to grasp that during the economic downturn everyone was affected. Not just them. Everyone had trouble finding work. People on every level lost good jobs and lost their life savings, yada yada, yada. It wasn't caused by Obama and the Liberals.

And the other really disturbing thing is how awful the writing is. The spelling is atrocious. There is no grammar. No punctuation at all.

The thing is, we outnumber them significantly.

I don't want it all to descend into violence; some of these people seem to actually want that, but I think they are very much deluded to think that they would have any chance of prevailing, if it comes down to it. They've already lost the "culture war," which is part of the reason for their desperate and illegitimate power-grab now.

Millions of "libs" would be killed if it devolves into an actual war...but if it gets to that point, people aren't just going to line up to be shot. Remember what eventually happened to the fascists last century??

7. I think you are right.

I don't really think a very high percentage of the population are white nationalists. One is too many. They are the most awful people. Violent and stupid make for a dangerous combination.

I passed a house that has a huge trump flag flying. It wasn't there last night. Some of his supporters are doubling down. It was a truly sickening to see.
