Oklahoma Lawmaker Wants Men To Approve Abortion, Calls Women "Hosts"

. . .

“I understand that [women] feel like that is their body,” he told the Intercept on February 8. He continued, saying that he prefers to call women “hosts”:

I feel like it is a separate — what I call them is, is you’re a ‘host.’ And you know when you enter into a relationship you’re going to be that host and so, you know, if you pre-know that then take all precautions and don’t get pregnant. So that’s where I’m at. I’m like, hey, your body is your body and be responsible with it. But after you’re irresponsible then don’t claim, well, I can just go and do this with another body, when you’re the host and you invited that in.

Should the bill be passed, women would have to start getting men’s permission for abortion starting November of this year ― it would also join Arkansas on the list of states that let other people interfere with a woman’s federally protected right to abortion.

I was once told in a college English class that in the past (I think the Victorian Era) women were not considered real people. It was believed that women did not have souls. I/the class was told that during that time period it was believed that women only had souls when they were pregnant. After the baby was born the woman no longer had a soul.

Feb 2017

I would like to see this term used more often when talking about the pro-life, anti-abortion crowd. Look how they throw around the term - partial birth abortion when talking about late term abortions. A late term abortion is a rare and terrible thing, usually doesn't happen unless there are serious heath issues or medical emergencies. So let's use a hateful term for the pro-lifers -supporters of forced child birth.

The Thirteenth Amendment reads as follows:
1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a
punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted,
shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their
jurisdiction.
2. Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by
appropriate legislation.

Why don't pro-choice groups focus on this argument?

Why the hell should any man, whether he is the sperm donor or not, have a say in what happens to any womans body? Releasing a teaspoonfull of material into my body gives them no rights of ownership. They gave up their sperm voluntarily and I can do with the results what works best for my life, not his. I am no host, the teasppon of material doesn't over-ride my brain and assume more rights than me! I hope the other legislators there are smarter than this for the sake of the women of that horrible state. My sister lived there for 9 years and absolutely hated it.

If a very mentally handicapped girl gets pregnant she is responsible for that decision even though she can't be responsible for figuring out she needs to brush her teeth on her own each day. If a 11 year old girl gets pregnant from daddy it is her fault and she must have her daddy's baby. OMG!!! What an ass.
